Fat loss and lean muscle mass

I wrote an article about some recent discoveries that have helped me lose some unwanted belly fat and build my business income.

One has nothing to do with the other – but they both have lessons to share.

The belly fat thing was a frustrating one for me.

I get a ton of exercise, and have lost a lot of weight – but I just couldn’t get that belly fat to go away.  I drink lots of water, eat well – most of the time (my belief is that life is short and you SHOULD enjoy some not-so-healthy foods every once in a while).  I do martial arts many times a week, walk the dog for 30-60 minutes a day, and do weights at the gym twice a week in the early am.

So if I do all that and can’t get rid of that belly fat – I can’t be the ONLY one that frustrated with this problem!

I tried supplements and allllll kinds of various concoctions.

At the end of December 2013 I got a call from my good friend Alan Ogden.  Ala is an ex-Pharmacist who leans more towards natural and healthy alternatives to pill-popping.  And Alan is always on top of the most fascinating health trends.

He tells me about Collagen Protein and shares the information with me.  I already take whey protein shakes daily, but never had thought or really heard of collagen protein.  Then I hear that they collagen protein is mixed with an incredibly nutritious and beneficial berry from Scandinavia.  One only available for 73 days a year – one that is exclusively for sale through the company Alan told me about.

I do my research on the product and decide to try it out.

Fast forward 28 days…

I continue my workout routine, and stay committed to eating as I always have.

The differences?


And belly fat.

Getting so much exercise makes a person sore – especially a 45 year old person like myself.

I love the workouts and put up with the aches, pains, and sore muscles…

..but I sure am healing a HELL of a lot faster now.

Sore muscles are at a bare minimum (same workouts – even more – than I did a month ago).

I recover faster from injuries that DO happen (and they do – I’m 45 and love to push myself).

My energy level is higher, and I feel much younger in body.

The best part?belly fat

That stubborn belly fat? That spare tire I can pinch on the sides? Quickly going away! I can SEE the differences.  Fat melting off.  My biggest trouble spots are quickly becoming my favorite spots to watch change happen.

I know this is a long story – but I want you to know this is my real experience in just under a month of using these 2 products.

There’s other benefits I would love to share with you about my trial in the last month… but those can wait… and you can ask if you want to know more.

The point is – these products have worked noticeably better than any other product or supplement I’ve tried.

I heal faster from injuries – and fat IS melting off my biggest trouble spots.

That ALONE should be enough.

Do I believe YOU will lose fat from using this?

I don’t doubt it – but can’t promise it.

If you eat more than before taking the product – I doubt it will help.

But if you choose to eat properly MOST of the time, and get  some exercise (walking is one of the best exercises out there, if you ask me), then you WILL notice the difference.

Before I share with you the product info, I have a WARNING FOR YOU.

The company behind the product is a direct sales company. That means they sell direct to consumer, and do not sell through stores.  It means they have commissioned sales people (called business owners), selling the product for them, rather than advertising directly through the company. It means it has that – gasp – network marketing title to it.

BUT – the best part?

FAR MORE people buy the product and use if for its benefits than actually get out there and make money selling it. It means people LOVE the product – and use the product because they love what the product does for them – and the ‘make money’ side of it is secondary to them… if even a consideration at all.

Warning over.

The product is truly unique and powerful… and I’ve tried a LOT of products over the years! This one works and delivers.

So, to the products, I am taking the Probita Collagen Protein Chews 2-4 times a day and the Vinnle product once or twice a day (both use the Scandanavian Arctic Cloud Berry).

Combined, I am in love!

I have seen the products work – I have decided to share my experiences with these products with a few people. If they decide to try the products out – GOOD.  If not – GOOD.  This is not a hard pitch – this is based on my personal experience.  I decided to immerse myself in this world of product – and will be selling the products on the side (outside of my main business) because I BELIEVE IN THEM.

A tale of two scales (one fat – one fungola)

Have you ever felt stuck?

Money stuck?

Fat stuck?

Ya – me too.

But today’s email begins and ends with a story that’ll get you UNstuck.

Let’s begin…

On a chilly winter morning, exactly 28 days ago, one (ah-hem) young man set his mind to a task.

He wasn’t exactly a slacker, by any means, but he was starting the year feeling…


Grand ambitions and an overwhelming vision of the year ahead.

Yet, 2 things were stagnant, and something needed to be done.

A brand new shiny new year was in front of him and SOMETHING had to change.

This yung’un was a whipper snapper at a mere 45 years old.

45 years of trouble-making and fun-living had caused 2 things to stagnate.

His weight.

His wealth.

First, he’ll be the first to admit that he had his fat days and worked DAMN hard to get that down. He became obsessive over his workouts, his walking, and his water consumption.

It worked… to a point.belly fat

He dropped mucho flab… but that damn last belly-bit was a stubborn SOB.

No matter what he did, or how well he ate that last bit wouldn’t melt off (within reason – life is short and you gotta enjoy the odd pizza and beer, he says!).
Second, he had been in his business for well over a decade, but got stuck there too. Things were going great – but enough was enough and THIS year was to be his BIGGEST YET.

Something had to change.
So here’s this 45 year old dude with a stuck fungola button (his word for money, moola, and greenbacks) AND a stuck fat button.

A brand new year ahead – and SOMETHING had to change.

So he makes 2 BIG commitments.

He goes public with them.

He does whatever in the heck he NEEDS to do to kickstart these two stuck buttons into never-never land.


28 days later… fat button unstuck and fat melting off.

Wealth or fungola button working like a charm.

What made the difference?

How is it that one person can change more in a month than many people struggle to change in a year? How can they make it happen and seem so (ah-hem) easy?

It isn’t that one person wished for it more – or meditated on it more.

The difference lies in the actions that one person took vs the other person.

Consistent DAILY actions.

DIFFERENT daily actions than they had taken before.


… and yes, my fair reader, this stuck person WAS ME.

And I found a simple path to unstick what was feeling gorilla-glue stuck.

A simple marketing system for 2014


I’m a pretty simple guy… who lives a pretty simple life.

I have some pretty simple ideas on raising my awesome 13 year old daughters.

I have a simple philosophy on getting into shape for a 45 yr old guy (it’s called… sweat…LOTS of it).

I run a pretty simple business…
…and I LOVE simple systems that make me and my clients MONEY.

I got an email from someone today asking what I would suggest they do to grow their service businesses (insurance, tax prep).

They have ZERO MARKETING experience… and next to no budget.

What to do?

Here’s my simple response – we will wait and see if they want to overcomplicate it (buying every stupid ebook offering magic pill solutions), or if they want to get some momentum going RIGHT NOW… so they can use the money they make to broaden their marketing plans throughout 2014.

Hi ____.  Great to hear from you.

The key for what you are doing is this (in my opinion):

* You don’t do marketing but you do purchase leads – those are assets and should be treated as such.
* Meaning… put them on an email list (if allowed by rental company – if not – build your own list – see below) and write to them once a week MINIMUM – don’t stop until they buy or opt out of your email list (make sure it is easy for them to get off your mailing list – and make sure they know it is easy to get off the list)
* Get involved with leveraging stories into your marketing that you are starting – stories about you and your wife – about your family – about your pets – about all the crazy ideas inside the cash flow calendar *(yes – it is a very good fit for you and has 1500 ideas you can use!) (TONS of prewritten email campaigns in there you can modify to suit your business and personality)
* Build squeeze pages into your sales funnel so you can collect your own leads via other means (advertise on Facebook is a good idea)
* Write to them!
* Write more often!

Never seen this simple system fail if you apply it.

I can coach the both of you into massive action with this if you want.  $xxxx for a month and I will kick your butts into the momentum you need.

They ALL can work for you.

But NOT all at once from the beginning!

And they are much more complicated to get results than plain-and-simple – build a list and email it!

Once you have some momentum going with email list building and marketing – THEN you can implement other strategies.

If you are new to marketing, and are unfamiliar where to start – start there.

Build a list
Email that list regularly
Leverage wild and unusual email marketing ideas from the 2014 Cash Flow Marketing Calendar
Try anything and everything in your emails (within reason, of course)
Get prolific!

Once you start seeing consistent SALES from that – leverage a percentage of that new income into growing your list faster.

Such a simpleton I am!
